ABOUT BLOSSOM TREE
Counselling built around people, not just problems.
With counselling practices in Bawtry and Retford, we provide a safe, confidential space where adults and young people can find support through life's challenges.

OUR STORY
Why Blossom Tree?
Blossom Tree grew from a simple belief, counselling should feel personal, not like a process you are being moved through. We do not require block bookings or set a fixed number of sessions. Instead, we begin with a free, honest conversation to help you decide whether you feel comfortable and if we are the right fit for you, it's important because this is all about you. Our name reflects how change often happens in counselling, not all at once, but gradually, with important growth taking place beneath the surface before it begins to show.
YOUR COUNSELLOR
Meet Me
Choosing the right counsellor is about more than qualifications, it's about finding someone you feel comfortable talking to. From your first session, you'll work with me throughout your counselling journey, building a relationship based on trust, understanding and genuine support.
As the founder of Blossom Tree Counselling, I support adults and young people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, relationship difficulties and many other life challenges. My approach is warm, thoughtful and person-centred, helping clients move towards lasting, meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

HOW WE WORK
Our approach to counselling
Person-centred
You set the direction. Sessions follow what matters most to you rather than a programme decided in advance, and we move at whatever pace feels manageable — including slowing down when something needs more time.
Tailored support
No two people arrive feeling the same, so we don't offer everyone the same thing. What we draw on depends on what you're bringing, and we adjust as we learn what's actually helping.
Collaborative
We review how things are going together, openly and regularly. If something isn't working we'd rather hear it and change course than carry on because it's what we planned.
Integrative approach
We're trained across several therapeutic models rather than committed to a single one. In practice that means adapting the approach to fit you, instead of asking you to fit the method.
OUR VALUES
What matters to us
Compassion
Whatever you bring, you'll be met without judgement — including the things you've found hard to say out loud.
Respect
Your time, your pace, your decisions. We'll offer honest input, but you stay in charge of your own counselling.
Confidentiality
What's said in the room stays there, within clear limits we explain properly before we begin. Confidentiality
Growth
Real growth doesn't end when a session does. We work with you to create lasting change that supports your wellbeing long into the future.
Curiosity
We ask rather than assume. Often the useful thing turns out to be something neither of us expected at the start.
Authenticity
Counselling is about you. Finding the right fit matters, and if we're not it, we'll help you find the support that's right for you.
WHY BLOSSOM TREE
Why people choose us
A calm, welcoming space
Our rooms in Bawtry and Retford are set up to feel like somewhere you can sit and think, rather than a clinical waiting area. Light, quiet and a comfortable chair sound like small details until you're the one talking about something difficult.
Support shaped around you
No block bookings and no fixed number of sessions. We review together as we go, and counselling ends when it has done its job — not when a package runs out.
Qualified, insured, supervised
Professionally qualified, indemnity insured, regular clinical supervision and undertake continuing professional development — the framework that keeps private practice accountable rather than self-directed.
In person or online
Sessions run from the Bawtry and Retford practices, with evening appointments available. Remote sessions are offered where travel, health or circumstances make getting here harder.
